Hello, I live in Winnipeg. It has been -30 for a while now. I have an oil pan heater and an inline block heater in the lower rad hose. My van is a 93 super exceed. I can get the motor started no problem, but it does not come up to temp, so the interior heater does not blow hot. Now, my question is: Do these vans even have thermostats? Or does the coolant free flow through the block? If there is a thermostat, can I find out what kind or how to get one for low temp, to get the engine temp up, and the heater.
Thank you,
Brandelica

Re: thermostat
quite likely you have the wrong thermostat, I went through last winter that way, but this winter I have the right thermostat and it makes a HUGE difference!
