Delica #1 Driven everday, reaches 5k in 3 months, oil change.
Delica #2 Driven less, reaches 5k in 6 months, oil change.
Does the grade of oil change any sooner or later with the examples above?
I've always wondered about this but never asked.
Have always gone based on mileage for oil changes. Since we're a 2 car family it takes longer to reach the mileage. But then these have been gas engines. Now I have a diesel van.
Curious to what your thoughts are.

I'm not an expert, but I'd say your OK with both scenarios - first one is best. However, if in 6 months you have not logged 5k, I would still change the oil anyway, just 'cause it's getting kinda old. Fresh oil and filter is always good for your motor. When in doubt, switch it out!
