I am replacing one of the halogen bulbs that illuminate the optic strand that lights up the "DELICA" in the rear reflector strip with that cool blue light. Mine just says "DEL" cause the right side bulb is out. Where do you get that bulb?

Any feedback appreciated.

Does it have to be Halogen?

Hello Sid,

I've been replacing eveything I can with LED lamps and then carefully sealing off the lens moldings to the body so that I'll never have to do it again and it will never leak. Plus, if I or my kids leave them on, it doesn't matter much for the first week or so. I (sadly) don't have the illuminated Delica sign on the back of mine so I can't check but if you thought LEDs would do the job, you can almost all of them at Lordco. The few odd ones I needed, I got at a place in North Van called... Uhm.... North Shore Audio Video on west 15th. I think, juist east of Pemberton. If I need something really weird, I can probably get them from

thanks for the reply. I did fix it. got a 10w halogen, then carefully cut the base of the bulb bracket and removed the old bulb. then snip the wire, solder the new bulb, and seat it in the bracket with some heat proof silicone and its perfect. we are all lit-up again, cant tell the difference between my fix and the stock side.

Sid,

I too only have the 'DEL' of my illuminated 'DELICA' strip on the back of the beast. Every time I see it at night I curse myself for not fixing it yet. I see you've done the job already. Did you get access to the light by taking off the outside Delica panel with the 8-10 screws in it (the obvious location) or did it involve taking off the inside back panel of the rear door? I'll probably be starting this job in a week or so. The 10W halogen bulb - where did you pick it up?

Thanks in advance, bitfolky
