Spewing toxic waste
Why is my delica spewing toxic waste? I flushed the cooling system and tested the thermostat. Checked out o.k. Its determined to fill up the overflow and 'you guessed it' overflow. Can anyone confirm my greatest fear, 'the death of my water pump'??? If this is the case, I could use an 'in' on a good parts source? Thanx!

Re: Spewing toxic waste
where are you?
could be a restriction in the cooling system somewhere, all of these vans seem to come here with rads and hoses 90% blocked with calcium, way too much for a flush to help, in fact a flush at that stage can make big pieces break off and clog things up worse.
ccautos if your on the island, Mardy if your on the mainland.

Re: Spewing toxic waste
I don't want to sound negative, but it sounds to me almost like the system is under pressure, something that shouldn't happen unless the head gasket is bad or the head is cracked...
recommend: with the engine cold loosen the radiator cap, then try cranking over the engine, if coolant starts spraying out from under the cap you have a problem, head or head gasket. (keep your hand on the key so you can turn it off quickly if this is the case, I ended up with coolant all over the headliner, dash, seats, my face, etc.)
