cubie capacity

Post by loki »

has anyone measured out how most a cubie holds when filled right to the top? I know the say 17L on them but I don't think they are full to the top when new. I remember someone saying it was more like 20L so I was wondering if anyone had measured it out? if not I will try and remember to do it this weekend. would be nice to have a more accurate estimate of how much oil you have when loading up for a longer trip.

slightly less than 20L if filled to just below the cap. I believe delicat has done a more accurate measurement but this is very close.

Hope this helps...

did you ever post up pics of your single tank install.......i am still waiting. 8-)

cheers

cool thanks guys, I will be finishing the last part of the install this weekend. I love the kit but as is well know and pantdrive will love to point out :P the instructions are not stellar, they are very general (more like advice) and some times it's painfully obvious that it has been translated and likely not by a professional. My Wife speaks fluent German (German tourists often ask where in Germany she is from) but can't be of much help as see knows less about cars than I know about German so therefore doesn't know the terminology in either language. That said their support has been very good, and have answered all my emails in a timely fashion with very helpful info. this weekend I will be installing the aux fuel pump along with a shortcut and a non return valve on the IP out and it is done.

as for the pictures, I will do my best, I had grand plans of taking pictures all the way through and ended up not taking one, but I will take a bunch after it is finished and edit them to point out the things done to the best of my abilities, then I will be posting them and sending them to Elsbett as well :)
