I love my Delica!

Had to be in Red Deer yesterday evening and this morning for an exam, and drove up and back both days rather than staying over...

First of all, I never get tired of the reaction I get from other drivers, seemed every second one did a double-take with me on the highway... that always makes me chuckle.
On the way back last night a fellow in a RHD JDM 4Runner pulled up beside me and waved, and as he too was a ham radio operator, we talked on the radio for quite a ways on the highway, great comraderie in the RHD scene!
on my way home today I also had a fellow pull up beside me driving up 14th st and roll down his window and ask how I like the Delica.. apparently he was thinking of getting one...

And the best part... after the vehicle had been sitting in the hot sun all morning, I walked out of my exam, hit the remote starter, and by the time I got to my van, not only had the airconditioning cooled off the passenger compartment to comfortable, the Coolbox had cooled off my water bottle too! what other vehicle can do that?!

It sure never gets old hey? I love the time spent talking to people about it. I never get bored of that.

Hi guys,
I know what you mean about people chatting you up about the deli, it seems to happen to me quite frequently at gas stations... Its always a pleasure and I find myself almost having the other guy convinced that he has to get one.

I helped out with a car rally today... I nearly didn't have time to do my job between questions about the Delica :D
I think I need to make up signs and pamphlets to put on a stand beside the vehicle so that I can go about my radio work undisturbed
