After I first saw a Delica I fell in love with them, it was a bonus that they were also 4x4. I found this site through a search and sucked in as much info as I could about the vehicle before I went about getting one. I actually looked forward to a vehicle with decreased power as I drive the "Sea to Sky" about 6 times a week (lately 7

) and my driving was pushing the limit too often. When I first got my Delica I embraced its lack of power and was comfortable driving it. About 2-3 months ago I noticed a loss of power which was gradual but certainly noticable. As I went through the various possible causes in my head it was not comforting to think of the costs I was about to incur. On top of that I dont like riding the van too hard so the lack of power was starting to irritate me as I was forced to go pretty darn slow at times. (60 kph)
Well I took the van to a local shop on the advice of a friend, it was a good move as an easy fix was found. With the lack of power I hadn't noticed that my turbo wasn't making its usual level of whine. The problem was that the pressure relief valve was sticking open a little because of some carbon build up thus decreasing my power. With the valve functioning proper I have regained my lost power and in the addition Noel has disabled my EGR. I am much happier now :)
Next on the agenda is having my lift kit, pyro hooked up with the probe into a plate where the EGR is, timing belt done and getting the rest of the protection bars painted black.
cheers
