Super Exceed - vehicle height

Post by Slickwater »

Hi there,
We are currently awaiting delivery of our 1992 Super Exceed with Crystallite roof. :-D Can anyone tell me what the vehicle height is for this model. We use the ferry system on a regular basis and this would be good to know.
Can't wait to join all the other happy Deli drivers out there. Take care. 8-)

Thanks alot for the quick information...I needed to find out as the assured boarding pass on the ferry limits the vehicle height to 6'10". Guess we'll have to weight it down some - haha

Hey Slickwater,

My super exceed is 6'10", and I can get on the ferry as an under height vehicle. The BC Ferries guy told me the limit is 7 feet. So as long as you don't put a roof rack on, or strap stuff to the roof, you should be ok. I drive on to the ferry with everything crammed in the van, and then strap my surfboards to the roof once we've set sail. Just be sure to check out the exit in your lane to make sure you'll make it with the extra height!!

Thanks Dan,

I think I will ask them at the terminal Friday when we go. If you visit their web site it states that the assured boarding pass is for vehicles up to 6" 8". They probably have a different set of guidelines at the booth though !! Thanks for the info.

according to the BCFerries website "underheight" is under 7 feet.... HOWEVER, some of the boats have an upper deck that is only about 6'10"... so depending on the boat you can be "under" height (cheaper fare), but still need to be on the lower deck, ALWAYS ask at the booth when you pull up just to be sure that they don't load a high roof Delica on a short deck ferry!
