Don't use any Canadian Tire ones. They have been going bad
and then messing up the electronics till you get it figured out
and undone.
I replaced mine with a Princess auto unit which has been going
great. You need a 4 to 5 adapter box. Not too pricey at all!
Splice into the tail lights of the van.

You need to give us details of your truck so we can recommend whatever site is available online. There are many videos online where you can watch how to properly install the trailer wiring harness. I have also watched some videos and learned how to install the wiring harness on my own utility trailers.

Assuming a L300 (L400 shouldn't be much different)
Open the rear door/hatch
undo screw the left light molding from the body.
2 screws I believe.

Take off the light hatch cover for the wheel jack
(allows you to have a bit more room to hide the adapter
in the space there)

The trailer adapter will have instructions showing which
wire of the adapter goes to what wire.. ie left signal, etc
there will be 2 wires that are for the right side and will be
longer (right signal and maybe the brake light)
(or have shown to be on 2 different adapters I have
used)

The kits/adapters usually come with a plastic piece that will
splice into a wire without you having to cut it. Use them.

Follow the directions. Splice the left signal into the left signal,
if you aren't sure which wire is the left signal, turn on the signal
light for the left. Splice into it. Do the same for all. I ran the other
two wires along the lip of the rear bumper out of sight to the
right side into the housing. You will see where the importer has
spliced into the brake light wire for the center window mount
brake light. Do the same.

It's pretty straight forward and hiding the wires will be easy,
as you find little niches to run them along and through.

Honestly speaking I don't have an idea what is recommended when installing a trailer wiring harness on a 1933. But now, it is recommended that a circuit tester be used on the tow vehicle's wiring harness. In order for you to confirm that the correct wire has been located for the proper utility.

I think that was a typo. Perhaps it should have read 1993?

I remember the 1933 Delica, it was a great year for the Chamonix. It was before they put EGR valves on, back when diesels were diesels and gasoline engines were nervous.... ah yes, those were the days......
