Rear ended funny

Post by jessef »

Driving northbound on hwy 1 in stop and go traffic, I was rear ended by a new mazda 5 car.

I was rear ended in an L300 like this but the L300 tin-like rear end took a hefty $2,700 at a frame shop to fix. That stint is what made me fab a solid steel rear bumper for our L300 so it wouldn't happen again.

I officially feel like I'm driving a tank now.

I was driving the Nissan Safari and didn't feel a thing. I pulled over after I looked in my rearview mirror. The entire front end of the mazda was crushed into the engine bay and the hood folded half way up the windshield.

Nissan Safari. No damage.

Everyone was fine but shocked at the zero damage on my rig and the massive damage on the Mazda.

It's a tank, with power steering!!! :-D
Glad you guys and your truck are fine...

Two weeks ago some idiot changed lane and cut me off. I ended up clipping the entire side of his Mercedes, ruined every panels of his car (rear, both doors and fender). I had a 4" vertical scratch on my chrome bullbar. The thing didn't even moved, just a tiny scratch. Loving it!

Another reminder of why I always feel uncomfortable driving through Vancouver: it's like it's the bumper car ride at the summer fair!

Good to read that you and your rig are okay.
