Where are these engines made? I heard that the engines from china are using cheaper and softer metal for the heads.

This is made by Hyndai under the license from Mitsubsihi Motors. They are not cheaply built, it has been in prpduction for almost 10 years and still used in new vehicles manufactured by Hyundai.

Some questions....

• Is it a 2.5L?
• I see it has a VI IP, how does it differ from the VI IP on the 4D56? (solenoid power feed, tuning screw, &c.)
• The timing belt appears to take a different path, how different are the timing belt layouts to the 4D56?
• What kind of alternator is that?
• I see that drive belt #3 appears to have teeth, do these match up with teeth on the pulleys?
• What about the A/C and P/S pulleys, do they have teeth?
• Would one need to replace the corresponding pulleys on the A/C & P/S pumps?
• How else does it differ from the 4D56? What is the general HP?
• How close does the dip stick get to the engine compartment bulkhead?

• Is it a 2.5L? It is 2.5 Turbo 4D56 Engine
  
• I see it has a VI IP, how does it differ from the VI IP on the 4D56? (solenoid power feed, tuning screw, &c.) Same IP but motor is manual transmission so the kick down cable needs to remount from the old IP
  
• The timing belt appears to take a different path, how different are the timing belt layouts to the 4D56? Same T Belt.
  
• What kind of alternator is that? the alternator is same excpts the Japanese 4d56 alterator has female jack and thsi one has male jack. We are adding converting the jack before installation.
  
• I see that drive belt #3 appears to have teeth, do these match up with teeth on the pulleys? Pulleys are same, you can use smooth or teeth type belts, both.
  
• What about the A/C and P/S pulleys, do they have teeth? Does not come with PS or AC, so the old pulleys needs to be swapped.
  
• Would one need to replace the corresponding pulleys on the A/C & P/S pumps? SWAP
  
• How else does it differ from the 4D56? What is the general HP? same HP.
  
• How close does the dip stick get to the engine compartment bulkhead? same as your delica. No difference.
