Mitsubishi Delica L400 production commenced in 1994 -- After much anticipation, the L400 arrived on Canadian Soil in 2009!

L400 maintenance schedule

Post by Rural »

This week, on a fairly lonely rural highway, my L400's odometer crossed 100000. So I've put about 22000 km on it since picking it up from Mardy in August. This got me thinking about the maintenance schedule.

We are planning a trip out to the coast (from east-central Alberta) early in the summer and would like to drop off the Delica somewhere for servicing while there. In the mean-time, I'll probably put another 5000 km on it. So I'm looking to do what I can.

I imagine that there isn't much different in the maintenance schedule from the L300 to the L400, but does this list miss anything obvious:

Regular oil changes are assumed, of course.

The fact that nobody replied made me think that I'd asked a question with a blatantly obvious answer. Trying broader search parameters here on the forum didn't turn anything up, but then I noticed the L400 download section. Bingo!

The 1995 L400 shop manual is just about exactly what I was looking for. If anybody else is looking for a maintenance schedule for an L400, be sure to check out this link (and the rest of the L400 download section here on the forum):

Oil changes every 5k
Oil/fuel filter
Grease all greasable points
Check brakes/coolant/trans-diff fluids
Check wheel bearings/hubs/balljoints/tierods for play

Once your L400 is running well, maintenance is simply like most comparable vehicles : Toyota 4runner, montero, Cherokee, pathfinder, explorer, etc ...
