Hi guys (and girls if there are any! :D )
Just thought I'd pop over the water to say Hi to you lot in Canada.....
It seems there is a growing number of you getting these amazing machines and I hope you continue to grow and keep the Deli faith alive 8) .
I remember when I got mine 4 years ago, there were about as many members in the UK (around 70) and look what has happened since!
I suppose the biggest hurdle you lot face is meeting up? With Canada being SO big....are any of you actually within meeting distance of each other?
Anyway, enough waffle - nice site guys, I'll be sure to pop in and say hello from time to time... :D
Regards,
Bruce.
A BIG hello from the UK! :)

Hey Bruce! Good to hear from ya! 8)
Glad you found the site, I see you've been busy helping out already. This place has helped a lot of people already with great local information, and I'm sure your technical experience with these beasts will be most welcome.
Canada is definately a big place, but the 'center of mass' of the membership seems to be on the west coast of BC, with a few of us in Alberta and Lost1 way out east, 5000Km away in Quebec. I'm sure there will be a few get-togethers planned in BC this coming summer. :D
Anyway, welcome and see you around!
Jon

Hi Jon,
Many thanks for the wam wlecome...
It's nice to see the enthusiasm in other countries. I really hope you lot get to meet up....that is what Deli ownership is all about to me: the people! :D :D
Some of my best friends are Deli owners that I have got to know through the club and there isnt a day goes by when I'm not on the phone to one, or they have popped around to my house for a cuppa & chat! 8)
If I had the money, I'd love to 'pop' over to Canada to meet some of you guys! You have the perfect place to own a Deli! The scenery and terrain you have is just what the Deli was made for! :D :D
Here in the UK, we have a lot less stunning surroundings than you and have to 'make do' but then I suppose you guys take what you have for granted sometimes?? Maybe it's the old cliche...the grass is always greener!
Keep enjoying and keep in touch,
Bruce.

Thanks for the nice welcome... :D
International flavour sounds so exotic! You wouldn't think so if you were sat where I am at the moment! :( It's been VERY wet and VERY miserable for the last few weeks! Even our little dog is reluctant to go out and he usually loves his walks!
Now if I had the sort of weather you guys get - then that's a different matter! 8) Snow and LOTS of it! 8) 8)
Here in England we may get a quick drop of snow once a year, but it usually doesn't settle because the ground is wet (or there is not enough of it!) and even if it does settle, we are talking about a light sprinkling that melts to a brown slush in about 1hr! :(
Deli's are made for adverse conditions.....and you get pelnty of the white stuff by the looks of it....fancy sending some of it over this way??
Please can you put a 'Members Rides' section up so you lot can all post some larger pics of your motors in the snow....go on....PLEEEEASE!!!! :D :D
Cheers for now,
Bruce.
(unhappy at the thought of having to take the dog out in ANOTHER downpour!

here in Vancouver it's also pretty rainy and miserable right now. I've also yet to take the dog out... one more cup of coffee maybe
soon I'll be heading out to the Columbia mountains for some field work (I love when I can call skiing "work") for most of the rest of the winter, so I should have some nice photos of the van in a lot of snow here in the near future :D

Yeah.....looking forward to seeing some shots of your motors in the snow! :D :D
This is the best snow we've had for about 3 years in Bristol:

Pretty pathetic don't you think??
I'd LOVE to have some real stuff to play in....get to test the Mystery Machine out properly then!

Cheers Bruce,
Nice to see you could join us on the other side of the pond. One of my first reads of the fine UK Delica forum was of your work to the Mystery Machine, I was enthralled. I have owned 'mini' vans since I bought a Toyota van new in 1984, and have taken some ribbing about driving a soccer moms van ever since. I sent out pictures of the Mystery Machine to all my buddies addicted to full size, lifted, big tyred, American gas guzzlers - before I even owned a Delica. It got a lot of WOW's.
Now if you could help me convince my sweetie how great it would be to lift her Deli'.........................

Welcome
Kev

Hi Kev and MANY THANKS for the kind compliments!
It's wierd to think that pics of the Mystery Machine (aka one of my daily motors!) are being shown around on the other side of the world!! :D :D
There's still a lot to do to it yet - but I try not to rush any project, just take my time and plan it carefully! It's taken 3+ years to take it from a totally standard L300 to what it is today....and I reckon it's gonna take another 3 years before I get anywhere near finished with it!
Maybe even longer now that I've got an L400 to play with too!
Looking forward to seeing more photos of all your L300's in Canada.... :D
Regards for now,
Bruce.
