My brother is trapped in Libya...
OK, not a deli topic, but I want to vent... I'm on a holiday in Adelaide Australia visiting my girlfriend and and desperately watching the world news and am glued to facebook for news of my brother who is trapped in a camp in Libya and unable to get out. Bombs and gun fire and the iron fist of oppression keeping him and his fellow airport builders pinned down. Their running short on food and supplies. Thankfully there are protesters guarding the camp, but it's a touchy situation and I'm HEEEAPS worried about my brother. Hoping the CND government makes some effort to help... Poor slobs living there - Gidaffi is a brute.

Well, here's to trusting that no news is good news. I hope the best for your brother and all who are suffering at the hands of this tyrant. I am intentionally not going to vent about this situation as it only serves to affirm the actions of a madman. Instead, I send positive vibes your way in hopes that it helps your brother get through this challenging time.

Sad to hear of your familial troubles - I wish your brother well and hope he remains safe and/or gets out of Dodge!
Agree with the other poster - venting here would not necessarily be conducive to remedying the situation, but it is sad to watch the news of late. I rejoice for the peoples of that part of the world trying to throw off their cloaks of tyranny, but it is a heavy cost they are paying in some countries.

I just heard on the cbc, not 10 mins ago, that the canuck government is sending two chartered planes to Libya to get canadians out of there. Hopefully your brother gets on board.

Re: My brother is trapped in Libya...
Thanks for the good wishes guys - I hear there is a flight in the works to evac. the people on the ground in the Benghazi camp so I'm hoping that comes through. By "venting" I just meant I wanted to express my concern, not to go off on the Col. with the iron fist. It's the people of Libya's business primarily, of course. I do hope the situation settles down for everyone there - violence and anarchy don't help anyone very much...
Thanks again for the good energy!
