L300 Replacement upper ball joints question
Awhile ago I got some badly needed replacement upper balljoints- which I have now delayed installing. It wasn't until after I drove home to Kamloops from the coast that I realized they are the type that do not have a grease fitting. Should I try to take them back (bit of a hassle) and get the greasable type, or does it matter that much?
Re: L300 Replacement upper ball joints question
I'm going to Vancouver later tomorrow morning. If you decide you want to change let me know and we could meet someplace. I'll be down there or in the area until the 11th. and had intended checking out a few fishing places in Richmond so I'm sure I could do an exchange if it's arranged.

If I get any advice on this, that would be great Larry, they came from CVI.

Re: L300 Replacement upper ball joints question
Factory L300 balljoints came with grease fittings whereas the L400 one's did not.
There are both aftermarket one's with/without grease nipples.
The one's without grease nipples come pre-filled with grease.
There is no study that says one is better than the other, so if you have non-greaseable, I wouldn't worry about it.
I would prefer greaseable, but if there's none available, I'll put on non-greaseable with the same feeling.

So, a non-greasable UBJ in the hand, is worth two in the auto parts store? (Confucious?)
