Disable the auto door locks?

Post by jcolvin »

Any ideas if / how it can be done? I don't like auto door locks. In an accident it can stop rescuers getting to you, it's just annoying to have to unlock all the passenger doors when they want to get out, and my passenger always wear seat belts so even if a door pops open in a crash they are not going anywhere. I suppose it's useful in NY to stop you getting car-jacked but hardly necessary here.

Just do what Jay did to mine, accidentally cut the tiny red wire sitting under the carpet with the power to the sliding door while cutting a hole in the floor to install a table. We now know where the sliding door relay is, while troubleshooting why the auto lock suddenly mysteriously stopped working. I know the sliding door is in the door opening, what you see is the 3 litttle round gold buttons about 1/8 inch each across. Cheers, Christine.
