Info on running wiring for Boost/Pyro on 94 L400...

Post by Aciled »

Well I've managed to gather all my parts to install a RHD 2-gauge pillar pod. I'm wanting info on running the wires and tube (Boost) down the window pillar.

Anyone of there know of some pics or have instructions ?

Thanks in advance,

Pics of the pillar pod! :-D

Did you source it local or have it shipped over from Australia or similar?

Do you have more pics of this setup? Glowshift sells RHD 2 and 3 pillar gauge pods, and I am wondering if there is room for the 3 gauge pod...

Hi I just ordered a similar pillar off ebay. In the meantime I have installed and wired my boost and pyro. As for power for the pyro, I found an unused plug behind the glovebox which has one terminal switched for 12V. Using a spade crimp connection I have robbed the source from there. The ground is attached to a chassis bolt in the same neighborhood. I teed into the light dimmer for the lighting power but it works in reverse to the dash lights so for now I just used the same power source as the pyro power. This means lighting at all times but for now this is something I can live with. A note, I bulb and green condom supplied sucks...I purchased 2 autometer brand LED replacement bulbs for 12 a piece at lordco and they are quite an improvement.
