awning arm

Post by jessef »

I'm going to try and build an awning arm similar to 'Freds Arm' sold in Oz.

As I'm not one to spend $400+shipping for a few strips of aluminum with a few holes/bolts, I'm going to use their idea and make one for myself.

Will post pics if this project ends up taking off (may have to wait in queue as the airstrip looks like a parking lot for projects right now).

Interesting concept.

Use your side awning and it swings on a single arm to enable the full awning to move/rotate on the rear corner. You get a movable awning from side to angled to rear deployment.

That is a very clever setup! Pretty easy to reverse engineer. Will keep my eyes on this.

At 400 buck plus shipping from Auz, you could just buy a Shady Boy as a dedicated rear awning and still be ahead of the game.
