Goof Off is comprised of toluene and xylene. Lacquer thinner has that and more, like keytones, acetone, methynol ~ really good for removing paint ~ for that matter so is Goof Off. Goof Off is sold in paint trade stores for removing paint that has gone onto something it shouldn't have. Goof Off is expensive because it is a brand name.
