L300 Snorkel Install

Post by Jordan »

The only literature I can find on a FTS L300 snorkel is from felix and he modified the air box so it doesn't apply. Does anyone have any pictures from installing the snorkel as it comes?

The sleeve on the snorkel is shallower than the cavity in the panel, do you put the hose on the sleeve first and modify the hole for the hose clamp screw?

Where does this grub screw/lock nut go? It's much bigger than the t-nuts on the snorkel.

Easier to make the hole on the side of the Deli big enoungh to get the hose with the hose clamp thru. Then when you mount it poor in tons of silcone to seal the snorkel to the side of the Deli. The grub screw attaches to the inside bottom of front of the snorkel. This is one of the fun things of this install you need to remove your ECU and reach down and forward of the snorkel pipe and attach the nut in place. Have fun, been there done that, got the t-shirt to prove it cheers Jay Tardis Deli.

Okay, the grub screw is much too large for that t-nut so I will track another down. Remove the ECU and shove my arm down the seatbelt retractor hole?

Also the rubber hose is loose on the snorkel sleeve (1/8" or so bigger diameter), is this normal or did I get wrong hardware?

Thanks
