New van gets new bed
Drawer slides support the bed extension (foot support end)
Designed around my cooler so it slides under
The bed can be extended with the captains chairs in but I'll be taking them out for most road trips I think
The drawers are 46" long and easily support themselves with 3 ' extended out
Both boxes are bolted to rear seat attachment points
Will make 3 piece foam mattress so everything can stack on the larger drawer and there is still lots of room to get bikes or bigger cargo in

Re: L400 bed
With the extension pulled back the captians chairs are in there normal position
I'll keep the wider drawer in all the time for tools and such and just put the other one and bed extension in for road trips
Next week I'm going to move a captains chair into the front passenger position
In 4 weeks we are going the Grand Canyon and beyond on a 4-6 week road trip
