Disengage door lights?

Disengage door lights?
Is there any way to rig the lights temporarily so you can hang out with the doors open without killing the battery in the L300?

Just unscrew the slide door step light and unplug it or add a small switch next to it, could call it a kill switch or may a "chill switch"
