Another Wheel Question (for Delicat???)
I hope I am not one of those guys that asks obvious questions, but I can seem to find what I am looking for.
I recently acquired some sweet Toyota Tacoma 15x7 rims and was wondering a few things. The rims appear to be the same as what Delicat put on his van, and painted black.
I even have the same tires as Delicat 30x9.5R15 BFGs.
My van cam with aftermarket rimsm (15x6), so I am not sure how they compare with original. They are pretty beat up and oxidized so I want to replace them.
I think my van might have a small lift but I am not sure. I only have liquidmonkey's van to compare to.
So, I know they will bolt on (bolt centric), but do I have to modify anything?
Here is the rim. Here is my van (the green one) with Liquidmonkey's machine too. If Delicat is around, maybe he can shed some light.
Thanks for any info!

Re: Another Wheel Question (for Delicat???)
no
they will fit right on an L300
the only problem you may encounter are the lug nuts. Toyota's have a flat base with a washer compared to the Mitsubishi cone shaped lug nuts.
The Toyota style range from $8ea to $20ea per lug nut. Not kidding. Hopefully you got the lug nuts with the wheels.

Re: Another Wheel Question (for Delicat???)
Thanks Jfarsang!
I did get the lug nuts with the wheels, and i have a tacoma already so i know exactly what lug nuts you are talking about. Got a sweet deal on those rims...
Any issues with the 30 x 9.5R15 tires on the 7 inch rim? Right now the tires are on 6 inch (wide) rims.
Not sure if i will paint these rims or not like Delicat did, but i may try to mill out the center caps to fit over the front hubs.
Cheers,
Salmo

By the way, that pic is of the first "official" eastern Deli-meet. We drove from Fredericton to Campobello island, through Maine, for a some lobster and a kayak to look for whales.

Hello, yes I do visit again now that all those dealer's adds are where they belong!
As Jesse said, this combination will fit but depending if you actually have a lift it might bring the inside of the rim closer to the control arm at the front so just bolt the front rims on your truck and check for clearance. I'm not sure if these Toyota rims had different offsets throughout the years but in any rate you should be fine.
GO, put them on and enjoy!
Cheers,
Mr. D

Re: Another Wheel Question (for Delicat???)
Thanks Delicat. Not sure where you went but i am glad you are back. I have read and learned a lot from many of your posts!
As far as i can tell, these Toyota rims have an additional half inch backspace than my current rims. I guess that means that the rim will be a half inch wider on each side. Since i am not changing the tire size, i can't imagine that the tire would sit much wider than it does now on the 15x6 rims.
Gonna take the $80 gamble and have the local shop put them on.
Thanks all!

Re: Another Wheel Question (for Delicat???)
Well, they fit! Local tire shop got them on no problem. They said the fronts went on a bit hard but a wire brush and some grease fixed that. Also found that the van was out of alignment pretty bad, even though i didn't notice any pulling to one side. So in the end it was $175 bucks...doh! So much for my cheap rim experiment.
I will modify the center caps to fit on the front and hide the toyota symbol on the rears. Not sure how yet. Will post a pic when i get a chance. Thanks all!

Here are a few pics of the new wheels. Again, they are tacoma 15x7 rims, probly off a 2001-2004, I am guessing.

Much Thanks
