I bought a few of these sets locally at Lordco as I could not find the 3M and other brands in BC.

Ricochet headlight/lens protector - clear

One package come with two pieces at 10"x16" each with instructions and a small xacto utility knife.

Retail is $42.47 + tax

I ordered 5 and got it down to $24.92 ea.

Installation pics.

It's best to do when it's hot outside as the film becomes softer and easier to mould over curved headlight.

Start in one corner and work outwards from there. Take care not to touch the film anywhere on the light otherwise you will end up with little air pockets which are pretty much impossible to remove once it's stuck in.

Once on, use the supplied Xacto knife and trace the headlight and discard the unused film.

I used something called "armour shield" and I bought from a body shop supply on Bridgeport Road (Simpson & Bridgeport), same stuff different name.

I used "Leader Headlamp Protector" purchased at NAPA cost was about $40 for the largest size they sell (which is pretty much what you need on an L400, the L300 used a lot less (or more to the point I used it on more lenses for the same size))
though I had to supply my own xacto knife...

The Ricochet brand worked great for me so far. After getting a hole in my left headlight I threw that stuff on a year ago and its still stuck on there and chip free.

bumping this up because winter is coming and so are the flying rock/salt/debris on the roads.

Keep those L400 headlights (expensive $$$$$$$$$$$$$ to replace) protected.

A word of advice.

If you are considering doing it (I would not drive without these anymore), do not say out loud "I will do it next week" and wait.

I did that twice. On TWO occasions I got two separate chips. $900 later I'll never make that mistake again *knock on wood*.

Are you talking about replacing the headlights assemblies ? You have LHD E-code lights, don't you?

As far as I know, ICBC does not cover chips to headlights.

Oh Sorry about the confusion. Yes I have LHD E-code lights. I was talking about rock chip damage to headlights .
