Mitsubishi Delica L400 production commenced in 1994 -- After much anticipation, the L400 arrived on Canadian Soil in 2009!

L400 air filter part number Lordco/Napa?

Post by tonydca »

Yes, I've tried the "search" function on the forum already - no joy 8-) Or maybe I'm just stupid...

Hoping for a LordCo/Napa/CanTire/??? part number for an L400 paper disposable filter (not an oil-foam washable type). I had the poor guy at LordCo trying every which way for 10 minutes last night. Anybody had better luck?

FWIW, the E2877 re-usable filter part sometimes referenced here does not appear to be the correct one for this vehicle. The one I need has the rubber seal around the middle.

Thanks in advance,

Tony.

The K&N E-2877 works. It has a centre seal. I wouldn't recommend it though. It clogs up fast and requires constant cleaning.

The 4M40 Paj filter doesn't fit properly.

I haven't finished it yet (haven't had time to go shopping), but:

Net time you replace your air filter, save the old one. Apply a torch (gently) to the bottom plate. This will melt the glue, and give you access to the paper element (This is as far as I am).

Pull/burn/cut out the old paper (possibly heat the top to replace the glue), which will leave you with an empty metal cage.

Buy this: http://www.amazon.com/Uni-Air-Filter-Bu ... B003V3O0YK

Stuff one into the other using adhesive top and bottom, and Bob is your Uncle, DIY reusable air filter.
