You mention a reach-thru cool box (or something like that): reach thru the wall where the air used to come out, or through the floor to where the A/C unit used to be?

The idea is basically to use one of the vents to run all the hoses (hot/cold water and coolant) from the Diesel heater and water tank to the interior heater and water pump. I'll close off the other two openings. The floor stays intact.

the window insulation is good for keeping both hot sun and cold temps from outside.
I'm using the same sheets. Good work !

Love your van! Keep us posted with your modifications.
Just bought a l300 and already have a long list of stuff I want to do as well.

After almost two years on the road our trip of a lifetime is slowly coming to an end. As the near future is going to bring some big changes for us, we unfortunately can not keep this expedition van.
It is up for sale!

Glad to hear you made it alright! Is there anywhere to view pictures from your trip? I saw this amazing one of you being transported by boat...
Just to clarify here as well, 13500 Euro's would equate to $18,500 Canadian which considering the $30,000 invested as well as a years work sounds pretty reasonable. The buyer will be very lucky!

Wow! Been nearly two years already, eh? The van will be quite the catch.
BTW, hard to believe that is a full-size Delica on those boats - it looks like a toy. Gives a sense of how massively long those boats are.
