Re: what did you do WITH your delica today
Went camping this past weekend at Link Lake on the Princeton-Summerland road.
A little rainy on Saturday but that was thwarted with our makeshift awning. And SvR did get a little muddy. :)

Mapped out most of where I've been in the last couple years, not bad!

Re: what did you do WITH your delica today
Paid a visit to a friend who has a saw mill to scrounge through his scraps for firewood. He'd been into some niiiice old growth fir a while back. Nary a knot in the whole load, and it's all cured and ready for the firebox.
The last load - just gotta process and stack it and I'm good for the winter. Look at that grain!

I used my four-wheel drive as Vancouver finally got snow this autumn. Not far - just park up a slight incline. But it felt so good!!!

Drove from Victoria, through Lake Cowichan, and out past Nitinat Lake into the Klanawa River watershed near Bamfield. Lots of backroad exploring! Camped over night near Nitinat Lake.

Oh deer! Hanging out near Princeton, BC on the weekend.
Seems even the deer like the deli.

Re: what did you do WITH your delica today
I drove my poor van very hard this weekend. I've been building alargw she's and loaded my 6x10 cargo trailer with 42 sheets of sheathing, 10 sheets of 3/4 ply, 100 2x4's, 7 packs of shingles, lots of nails and screws, 8 paving slabs and all my tools. On the roof was 12 16' 2x6's and 4 16' 1x6's. I then proceeded to drive up some very steep hills in Poco.

Re: what did you do WITH your delica today
Forgot to mention it before... about a month ago I drove from Halifax to Ottawa, stayed a week, drove back. 16 hours each way.
Last week, drove to Montreal, stayed overnight, drove back to Halifax. 13 hours each way.
No problems with the van at all.
No one in Quebec seemed to notice the van, or care.
Diesel costs in New Brunswick seem to always be higher than in NS or Quebec / Ontario... maybe some weird provincial fuel pricing policy? Don't know.

Re: what did you do WITH your delica today
Another trip to Princeton. This time we headed up towards Nickel-Plate mine (just outside of Hedley) - kinda the back way to Apex Mountain Resort. Then took Green Mtn road & 3A into Keremeos for fruit and Thai food.
Interesting - on the 13 km climb the Deli never got much past the 1/2 way point on the temp gauge. We were mostly doing 30Kph.
A beautiful drive and view down the valley.

We drove ours to Calgary yesterday. I certainly like the price of diesel in this neck of the woods as compared to home. Mind you at 1.55/l in golden and a required fill, they kind of got you there.

Maiden voyage for the teardrop trailer - not quite finished, but it was awesome. It's funny, usually feel like a rock star in my L300 in the states - but now my van hardly gets noticed.
