Congratulations!
Most car seats come with an "H" clip to lock the lap belt into place, that's all we've ever used for our two carseats, once theyre cinched down tight it's rock solid. No mods required, takes a couple minutes, and if you don't have one you can buy them at Toys R Us for a few dollars.
