On top gear they were saying that if a diesel engine goes empty you have to bleed the system. Is this true and if so wouldn't that mean that in the event your light doesn't work you would be up s*** creek? :shock:

you have a primer on your fuel filter to prime the system.

Right, I remember someone mentioning that at the last meet. Must just be the Audi Diesel he drove that didn't have a primer.
