37 knots in 4500 tonnes of Canadian Patrol Frigate! I was at the helm a number of times during my naval career when it was time to do full-power trials.

And if that doesn't sound all that fast, the next part is: stopping the vessel within two ship lengths (less than 900 feet total)! I don't think there's a road car in the world that can stop that short (not without hitting something).

Only time I exceeded that land speed was in a Red Barchetta.

Falco.
Falco, Have you watched Episode 5 of this Series of Top Gear (Series 17)? They have a really good bit on the Jensen Interceptor. Worth checking out!

And to stay on topic...1993 L300 Super Exceed - 125kms/hr (I like to baby it).

I've loved those cars ever since I watched MAD MAX!

Funny thing too, there's a company who offer turn-key replicas of the Mad Max car (link is a little buggy):

I loved those 323 AWD turbos when I was in high school, those and Omni Turbos, cool little sporty hatchbacks.

@ bassnailer
If you liked doing 74 km/h I think you'd like this video:

280 on one wheel is pretty impressive indeed - but have a look at this 500 hp turbo Hayabusa, pulling wheelies at 300+, on the road (skip to 2:30 in video to skip the silly part):

My absolute favorite speed daemon has to be the late Georg Plasa in his insane Judd V8 BMW 134 (skip to 1:30 to hear the beast scream):

As for myself, my fastest while driving is around 215 in a stock 1986 2.0 Accord hatchback. I came close to that with my 1995 Accord EX-R. Fastest for me as a passenger was close to 900 km/h, on an intercontinental flight ;)

Fastest I've driven - 220kph as my BMW had the electronic limiter still engaged.
Fastest as a passenger - 270'ish in a highly modified FD RX7.
