I would tend to agree with Pajerry's advice on using K&N for the street, paper for the offroad.pajerry wrote:I am not the only one to notice this. Since then I always switch to paper filter for camping/offroad and now no dust post filter..
I have read a number of reviews and tests that all indicate that K&N filters do allow more and larger particles past than most standard paper filters (and also a lot more air...) so there is a trade off to be aware of.
K&N themselves markets a line of extra defence products for dusty conditions because of this.
