In one thread you don't encourage it and in another you do. As a dealer who is very active in this forum giving advise to other members, saying one thing in one thread and the complete opposite in another is not good advice-giving practice. If you were a single member it wouldn't make any difference but you are touting yourself as the #1 Delica seller, so you better get your claims and words straight otherwise you'll be the boy who cried wolf all over again.Rising Sun Auto Import wrote:We became the number one top seller for Delica
Exactly what is very interesting about my post Steven? Please enlighten me without any smiley faces, they are becoming very childish.Rising Sun Auto Import wrote:Very intereting.Fishtank wrote:
Was the advice you received mostly over PM's?
Why would you purchase glow plugs from the UK when they are available here?![]()

Cool man cool. Thanks.Profister wrote: http://www.delica.ca/forum/mitsubishi-a ... -9396.html
I use it all the time. Easy to install and you do not need to rely on 'professional' recommendations.
OK that makes sense. I have noticed that genuine Mitsubishi parts are MUCH MUCH more expensive and hard to locate than genuine Toyota parts. Heck, even the aftermarket brand parts tend to be much more than genuine Toyota. It is kind of a bummer.Rising Sun Auto Import wrote: Good idea, but in reality we easily can’t find an aftermarket GP with good working condition through original part numbers.
Of course you got no problem to get it from Mitsubishi Japan with chassis number, but price is no kidding.![]()
That’s why people are looking for cheap/good alternative GP from other source.
Steven
Mitsubishi has never achieved the market-saturation of Toyota and so it's parts are going to be more expensive.psilosin wrote:I have noticed that genuine Mitsubishi parts are MUCH MUCH more expensive and hard to locate than genuine Toyota parts. Steven I would be in shock if the Bosch plugs designed for this system did not work as good as the OEM Mitsubishi plugs....Bosch has been making glow plugs for many years. The only problem is can we get the plugs here (at the moment with the group buy there seems like no point in trying, but down the road it would be an idea). I know the NGK, Delcos and a few others could not get my VW to start at -30 (new plugs tested resistance, but Bosch never let me down!).Rising Sun Auto Import wrote:If you have a perfect working condition 6.2V super quick glow plug system, I bet only Mitsubishi original GPs are the only solution .
I used lots of different brands here, but all others ( even made in Japan product ) are not working properly in this cold weather.
If you have a necessity to move over manual switch due to faulty system, you should consider replacing old glow plugs with 11V.
But OP doesn't like manual switch though...

Sounds like you just got your parts for free!!! It is the little black box on the driver side fender (at least in my 1982)....I would pull the glow plugs and temperature sensor so you can hook it all up bench test and do glow timing etc. prior to install.Artie Fufkin wrote:thedjjack wrote:

When we have a problem at early model control system, people tend to install manual switch.Artie Fufkin wrote:Thanks for the info !thedjjack wrote: Artie: Check any 1980s Mercedes Diesel 240 or 300 for the glow plug controller.
