Never go with UPS from US<->Canada. They charge 'their' own brokerage fee and more. There was a few massive class action lawsuits against UPS for this very charge not long ago.

I used this and had a $230 brokerage fee waived last year without a question from their service dept.

http://www.classaction.ca/actions/Consu ... UPS-).aspx

The lawsuit further claims that UPS failed to obtain consumers’ consent to act as a customs broker; to disclose the existence and/or amount of the brokerage fee; and to provide consumers with the opportunity or disclose to them how to arrange for customs clearance by themselves.

I got my lights from Popeyes in North Van...The gave me a deal on bulk (I only did interior and it rocks as with my dual start batteries I can run interior lights all week and fire up no problem)

Considering the cost difference between the 2 options is negligible I won't worry about it. Ive ordered everything I need so at least it shouldn't be a concern in the future. :-D

I just installed all of my LED light's today. For some reason the 1156 bulbs didn't work in the amber front side lights. Any idea why this might be? The plug in light's I bought ended up being too long for the housing so unfortunately that won't work. I'm also getting the quick flashing which doesn't really bother me so all is good. The interior looks great. I use red lights for the 2 front map light's, natural white light's for the other 2, red light's in the door's, cool white for the foot step and warm white for the rear light. Does anyone know how to access the swivelling light in the back behind the fluorescent light's, or what bulb it uses?

Here are a few pictures to illustrate what I'm talking about...

check out the 2nd post. different bulb size and an inline relay/resistor for the flashing

I know about the relay/resistors. Are they very difficult to install and are the necessary? I don't mind the quick flashing. Are you referring to the plug in bulbs that were too large or the corner light that doesn't work (1156 3 Watt Luxeon...I'm not sure if mine is the 3 Watt Luxeon, it's the same as the rear bulbs)?

Just purchased all the LED's I need to outfit my L300 except for the license plate bulbs (not sure what I need yet).
The 1156 turn signal bulbs have the resistors built in so I won't need to do anything special to have them flash properly.

I also thought I might as well try the H3 LED bulbs for my fog lights. I found some that say they will put out 700-900 lumens (7.5W each). I know regular H3's put out a bit more, but I thought it's worth a try. I will report back with my finding and post pictures.

I spent a grand total of $69.13! That's for all interior and exterior (except license plate like I said). My estimation is I will be going from approx 418W to 62W. That's a huge difference. I may revert back to the 55W H3's in my fog lights if I don't like the LED's though. Either way, not bad.

One name. CREE!!!!
I have gone through the ringers with my lights. There are heaps of shit LED's out there. The biggest issue with lots of the 1157 "dual element" replacements are the difference between day time run and break. IF there is not a noticeable difference then that is not safe for you. When you apply your breaks no one notices and they can drive up your ass.

However I mean this with all my heart.. these are the best bulbs I have ever had. They have lasted and are also extremely bright. I replaced everything in my Pajero to these. This seller is great too. http://www.ebay.com/itm/7W-CREE-Q5-12-S ... 6933992%26

When I turn. you know it. when I break.. you know it. They are awesome. 400 lumen on each bulb I believe. Ill show you at the next meet.

Those look great, but expensive! My lights are still going strong and are super bright! The brake light problem has never been an issue (there's a big difference between regular and brake), but I also ordered the best ones Superbright LED's had available.

Did you ever figure this out? I just tried to install amber 1156's into the front side lights. Didn't do anything so I tried just regular 1156's. Didn't work either. All other LED's work just fine.

These are the ones not working...

The polarity is backwards. You should have bought error free bulbs. You will need to switch the 12vdc with the ground for these to work. I recommend getting a different bulb. Cree plus smd are mucho better and error free but that's just me. The basic smd bulbs are not that bright. You can test this by using a 9v battery. Attach the + to the end and - to the side. If it lights up then that's the polarity you need for your wiring. If it doesn't then - to the end and + to the side. It should then light up and that will be the polarity you need. If neither light up the bulb is garbage. If both ways light up they are error free.

They are supposed to be error free. I guess not since they work in the fog and turn signal (both types do).

Yeah my Pajero was fine for all non error free except the side markers. For some reason they were backwards. Not sure why.
