Ok, need to put my nose back in the engine so as to make sure there is or not a turbo... but there is no "T" on the engine number sticker... even though it's in Japanese...

If she's a diesel then it would be highly irregular to not be a turbo, at least the ones that we get here. The turbo is located on the right side of the engine, between the manifolds. It's easier to see with the driver's seat (and deck) out.

You are right... it's a turbo !!! It's so well hidden....
