Here's a download of the votage data read at the glowplugs from my L400 from this morning (-8oC outside temp). If there is cycling of the plugs during the warmup phase the OFF portion is pretty insignificant, they appear to be getting full voltage the entire ~2minutes.

Draw your own conclusions from the data. My conclusion is that the glow plugs in the L400/2.8 Pajero get a good workout every cold start compared to many vehicles that just hit the plugs for 5-7 seconds at start and thats it. Likely why these vehicles seem to eat inferior plugs for breakfast like Fruit Loops and why there have been some pics posted of plugs that have totally self destructed in a horrible horrible nightmare.

Interesting Psi....and cool too.

And as for Bionic, no probs with the various opinions. I was a tech myself at one point and this Glow Plug issue plagued my own Deli until I started testing everything. Spare sets will be on hand at all times from now on.

Butch at CVI was also rather helpful with several points and I trust his info without question....he did mention to stick with a good quality glow plug, sound advice.....
Yeah I joined the Dark Side because the medical plan is top shelf!
