Soooooo....
I noticed there are a lot of pictures of these models still in the box, still in the wrappers, not assembled, etc, etc, etc. Here's a picture of my box (I bought it myself and at 25$ CAD it's even cheaper than Mystery Machine's):

La coup de grace, a fully assembled model (notice how it is a complete vehicle and not a Langford special with its own wheel blocks):

And in this shot, you can see me mugging over the fact that I've actually put mine together! Ha ha hee.

I'm thinking of making a rack and ladder at a later time, to replicate the Moon Machine's outfit. This last shot shows (poorly, I'll admit) the trailer hitch and the extra marker lights on the rear of my ride:

uh-oh.
Forget what I said in the 'owner passion' thread about this just being another form of transportation. I'm looking at this thread and thinking - Hey - I WANT one of those!! Yikes - it seems I'm hooked.
In the motorcycle world, we refer to this as being bitten by the bug. Yep, seems like I'm gonna be a Delica nerd, too. ( but you know, 'Delica nerd' just doesn't sound quite as cool as 'biker chick'! LOL)
Now excuse me, I have to hop over to e-bay and start searching...

Nice one Paul,
I have to local hobby shop (BC Shaver and Hobbies) trying to get some of these in. So far all they've gotten in for me is a BSG Viper!
Cheers,

Just to think that my land lady tells me that I should get a girl friend every time she sees me waxing my machine.......
Nice model, Mararmeisto. Do you have a name for her yet? How about.... um... Mini Moon? Do you think they do custom models for the Chamonix?

I doubt the Chamonix variant (I had a hard enough time finding this one - seems like it is out of circulation), but what you could do is get the model I got, some printable vinyl stickers from BC Shaver and Hobbies (make a decal, place this paper in your printer, print, and voila you've got model stickers).
And yes, I think I shall call him 'Mini Moon' (spoken in a slightly Austin Powers voice).

By the way, I was thinking of heading over to the Island at one point, would you be available for a coffee? We can discuss sexy models.....

Shogo and Dave @ Japanoid had one last time I checked...for sale too...but don't tell anyone! ;)
A full-size or another model? Either way, don't tell Mystery Machine or he'll start digging around looking for change...

I meant model...when I was there to pick up wife's Deli., they had a model still in cellowrap sitting in their display case...I asked if it was for show or sale and was told it was for sale and very hard to find...I passed on it but now wish I hadn't...

So is it true what they say about the difference between men and boys being the size (and price) of their toys?

Model Super Exceed

I just got one of the Aoshima 1/24 scale models in the mail yesterday. After a bit of snooping I ended up ordering it from Acorn Models in Christchurch, New Zealand. It's a Super Exceed and has decals for all the stickers, including the cold weather package sticker, and the sticker that says you have somewhere to park.
Now to put it together. I have a binocular microscope in my lab at work, and it may come in handy.

Just as long as you don't paint your model the same as Pink Pig from mdocuk.co.uk
