More and more it sounds like I should be able to make it as well, the pressure is on MardyDelica's shop to have my ride ready on time!
For those running different size of tires and not sure of their actual speed vs the speedo rating, l'll bring a couple of GPS if anyone is interested in testing their actual speed. (I might rent them for your share of rice crispy squares... )
See you all soon, sounds like we're gonna have a good turnout!
Sure wish I could make it - but can't miss the first road trip for me and my deli...ice fishing & snow snowshoes in the mountains outside of Coldstream. Will be there in spirit!
no problem , Delicat will make it work.
For sure you can attend the meet 100%, it will be done that time. do the rest later o.k.
cheers;
Were all gonna have fun.

OK, It's Show And Tell Time ! Bring your questions and get some new ideas, while our Delica's happily mind-meld.
Mini-Meet Show+Tell Friday 22 Feb 2008 Vancouver, 6:30pm to 7:30 pm.
At the parking lot behind the MacDonald's on Boundary at Broadway / Lougheed. On the Border of Burnaby / Vancouver. Easy freeway access at Boundary Exit, about a half mile up the hill. Huge parking lot, washrooms, and fast-food for those on their way home from work / or who want to leave kids & spouse inside while we deal with our addiction.
This is the first of Regular Friday evening Show & Tell Mind-Melds (Deli-Meats?), at various Lower Rainland spots. We can plan future weekend get-togethers, trips, & Show+Tell.
I will also organize " MAINTENANCE PARTY " get-togethers for hands-on mutual-support. Upcoming " Maintenance Party " themes include:
Headlight Brightness Party at Lordco Burnaby Kingsway (open to Midnight) to share voltage testers and compare bulb types, and share knowledge (just how to get at that finicky screw).
Party to Fix the leaky front quarter panel where it leaks into the carpet.
Party to Compare Tow hitches, including EricN's great home-pro build.
Torsion Bar Adjusting Party (count the feet sticking out from under, and hear the curses).
Princess Auto Coquitlam Parking Lot Party to drool over stuff you never knew you needed -- but honey I am buying it JUST FOR YOU in case there's an earthquake so we can get to your parents house to make sure they are OK !
See you next Friday, I'm bring Rice Krispy squares for those who get there sharp at 6:30. Friday 22 February (no, not this Friday in 2 days time, as that's still Valentine's stuff time -- no your Delica is not your SECRET Valentine).
Reminder ... the Deli Show & Tell is TOMORROW night, rain or shine.
Rice Krispy squares to the early birds!
Full details in the posting above. Am re-posting now so it will show in "Recent Posts".

how long are most people p-lanning on being there, its kinda of a comitment for me to drive down and i wouldnt want ever one just to leave after like half hour, would like to learn more about tortion bar and oil changing.
probably see ya'll tomarrow!
I don't think you have to worry too much unless you arrive after way after 7:30pm...
This is the firs meet this year along with lot's of new faces. I'm sure we'll have lots to talk about. The only draw back is that you'll be missing on the rice crispy's square...
well i get off work at 2:30 and i think ill go to the cty form there with a short lay over in squishmish, ill make a weakend outta the trip, see yeah tomarrow!
Would've loved to be there and meet some of you guys but will be in transit to the Sunshine Coast in the mid afternoon. Would be cool if some of the meets could be on a different weekday - seems like it would be do-able as they don't appear to be crazy late-nighters (other than for the way-out-of-town-folks). I'll keep my eyes peeled for future events.
mark wrote:Looks like I can pop by tomorrow's event (woo-hoo!) Probably won't make it until 7:15ish, so I may miss out on Christine&Jay's Rice Crispy squares
I will see if I can snag a square for you ~ I want to pick your brains regarding this booster gauge you mentioned in the mileage thread... smiles.

I'm not sure that I'll be of much help on the booster gauge issues (I think you may be referring to somebody else's post), but look forward to meeting you and the others.
So for anyone who missed the meet today, you MISSED OUT!
Great turnout-looked like close to 30 vehicles.
I'm sorry I couldn't have stuck around longer, but it was very nice to meet everyone and to check out other peoples' rides.
I saw a couple people snapping pictures, can't wait for them to post.

I wonder what the McDonald's customers thought..
