You should get that fixed ASAP before you get nicked and get a ticket, which may result in you having to get a whole new inspection done. After all, you live in the land of the Inspection Gestapo and not in the wild west of Alberta. It will be much cheaper if you get proactive now.
Thanks ! So true - just so little time these days, cheers

One of the things I've read consistently in this forum is problems caused by the DRL module being incorrectly set up. There is another thread about the wiring in '90 vintage Delica's that talked about a similar problem and suggested a fix that apparently worked.
One real quick diagnostic you could do in a minute would be disconnect your DRL and see if it changes things. You probably could fix this problem yourself at no cost beyond your time.

Just troubleshooted my headlights - they are aligned properly - problem is: if I turn the headbeams OFF =they don't come off at the regular night drive lights = only when I switch back to Daylights do they switch off. Will investigate further......

Am meeting zissou tomorrow am to have a closer look (and also to check out his van which is EXACT year and colour as mine) - thanks for the link advice - I get a little overwhelmed with all the posts/searching etc. - will show zissou that strand as well before the troubleshooting
THANKS!
