I wonder if you would get the same problems as the 400's get with high lifts?
But I must admit 300's are really starting to grow on me the more I look around this site, wouldn't ever get rid of Delisaurus but I wouldn't mind a 300 as well!!

No problems so far and it corners amazingly good. A little stiff on dirt of course, thats the counterpart.
DelicaSaurus hey, you bastards get to drive new ones... not fair that our government is so corrupt.
Give me a space gear lifted... snif..

I am glad you are starting to come to your senses! I must say, you'll be an L300 convert in no time.

I really like the roof rack on your rig. Where did you get that from?

Standard JDM aluminum racks that come on many Pajero's, Landcruiser's, Delica's,etc..
Once in a while you see them on craigslist around 300-500.

Having seen Mystery Machine up close I know how cool they can look but I would only have one as well as mine, wouldn't get rid of Delisaurus to get one no matter how cool it looked.
She will be going up in the not to distant future (not by as much as 6 inchs) but apparantly if you take a 400 up to far there are problems with the sub frame cracking.

Thanks for all the discussion on lifted vans... it helps as a newbie to have all this info!
is likely to handle how? Would it be bad on mileage? Cost an arm and leg to repair? Constantly prone to problems? Or just a whole lot of fun?

Luisito, everyone has their own opinion, as do I.
Personally I don't care for a high lift ~ it's a matter of balance. The Miss Lil' Bitchi has an one and an half inch lift ~ perfect! I have had her at a 40 degree lateral angle and she is solid. Many high lifted road princesses wouldn't dream of taking on those angles. With the short wheel base of the L300 (88.5") she has gotten through some seriously deteriorated surfaces ~ the higher the lift the less branches you can get under. The higher the lift the higher your centre of balance. In reality are you going to take the ditch or the road beside it? Check Youtube for vids, there's quite a few, here's one:
Happy trails!
Falco.

I say lift and lift away!!!
Re: 6 inch body lift, the Ultimate looks like this!
When it comes to looks I always preferred wider than taller, aggressive like a tiger, not delicate like a moose. These kits allow lift of the axles along with wider stability. Instead of lifting your wheel wells for larger tires, they drop your wheels for larger tires. You can eliminate lengthening everything because your belly parts remain tucked up under and out of the way. The gears system helps displace torque on your 4x4 parts, reliving stress and eliminating some need for changing gear ratio with additional parts. A good match for a Deli, I say.
I see a lot of lifted trucks up here in the Oil and Gas Country. They get so high it looks as if their family jewels are dangling. I like practicality. Clearance yes, but with low centre of gravity is a winner.
I don't want to spoil anyone's love for tall machines or steal your joy, but I really do think these are a truly awesome mod for practicality and versatility sense. Especially on a Deli.
If I can swing a kit like this I will. These vans deserve the clearance, stability and ability to venture down low cut rabbit trails.
