No word back from Glen (as for confirmation), but it looks like the masses have spoken and the 9th and the 16th are the preferred days.

Glen? Can we camp in your yard? :-)

So as Paul says it looks like the 9th and 16th work out for the majority so I will run the open days on both of these dates . This works well for me as my parents are emmigrating to Canada on the 23rd so I will be a little busy myself that weekend .
So I will throw out a few suggestions and if anyone has anything to add or suggest please feel free to post it or call me at the shop .
I am thinking that because several people are travelling from considerable distance we should open the doors (with coffee) at 10am and run an open question/information time up until 5pm .
I have removed a complete front suspension for close inspection and have another front hub unit mounted on a bench to better describe wheel bearing adjustment/rebuild procedures . I will also mount an air filter housing and fuel filter housing on the bench so that anyone wanting to learn how to do filter changes can attempt this without reaching into a vehicle . I have also mounted a complete engine onto a stand to enable easy viewing of the `heart` of your vehicles . I have several `horror` items also for display including waterpumps , tensioner , belts and an opened radiator that can be inspected to see what happens in an unmaintained engine .
I have tried to set up facility to answer all questions that have arisen from this online poll and if anyone has any further `how to ` questions or is intrigued as to how something works please let me know before the day and I will make sure it is addressed .
Also I have arranged for snacks/drinks for lunch times on both 9th and 16th .
Rocky Mountain Imports (John) will also be attending with a range of new parts on display and to answer parts related questions .
I am open to people arriving the night before and camping , just please let me know if you are coming to camp so that I can get sufficient coffee on earlier on the saturday !!!

Thanks , Glen

Glen,

I am currently planning on arriving on the Friday night of the 15th. This of course, with my schedule, could change ~ but that is my current plan.

Falco.

Great timing!
I'm still in the market, and don't know too much about the inner workings of these machines,
I'll drop by early on the 9th!

This information day is for the benefit of all Delica owners and anyone curious about Delicas . Please feel free to stop buy whether you have responded to the poll or not .
Anyone whos curious about Delicas can also take a test drive with one of the sales staff from Five Star who are bringing up a couple of sales vans .

Did you want them to "stop and buy" stuff (vans, whatever); or did you want folks to "stop by" the shop, even if they've not participated in the poll? :?:

Or both?

Having Five Star swing 'round with a couple of test drive vans - excellent move. :-D Are they going to be coming next weekend as well?

Anyone is welcome to stop buy . Five Star are going to bring up a couple of vans that had `everything` done to them and I can use them as a demo for servicing tips . Also there has been a couple of people that have shown interest in learning about them for the purpose of puchasing and what better way than to have a couple of vans for road test as well as inspection .
Thanks , Glen

Damn. Gonna have to miss it if it's on those weekends... Cape Scott for us this weekend and the next. Maybe Glen will host another one of these some time in the future if the response is good?
