1994 Delica Spacegear?

So, I guess it seems that one of the major advantages of the L400 is the 2.8L donk... that stems the question - is the bottom end or long motor interchangeable with the 2.5, and how much of a PITA is it? After a few month of lurking and vaguely looking for this very thing, I haven't seen much info... Anyone know someone who has tried?

I've driven an L400 and the motor was quite nice - even managed to chirp the rear tyres coming onto a highway.
