Laura, thanks for the rundown on the VIN, I didn't even spot that!

That's what I was thinking J, I'll get in touch with Mardy once I get her to assess the situation, I've also been turned onto a place in nanaimo that can recore the rad, which may be an option if the end caps are in reasonable condition. After reading some of the horror stories, it'd be quite the shame to overheat and warp the head, or even worse, crack it.

Again, thanks for all the input, I appreciate it more than I can express in words!

Nice clean Delica Kelly, there seems to be many a fan of the black over silver ones!

Didn't you have another Delica before? (and then leave Canada for a bit, like us?)

Regards,
Kev

Kevin! It's been quite some time, how are you?

I'd always had plans to get one, but never did, ended up getting a skyline, shortly thereafter it was sold..I then ended up in asia for some time and now that I'm back I can't deny the Deli any longer. 8-)

I was upset to see that as soon as I was joining the convoy, you appear to be leaving. Where are you and the family headed Kev?

Thank you for asking Kelly. We are currently sitting at YVR, awaiting our leave of Canadian soil in a little over an hour. The three of us are truly excited about relaxing and learning in Thailand. And healing in the heat won't be bad at all. Just as you did we have sold our possession and split, though there is a couple crawl spaces on Vancouver Island with many boxes of 'stuff'. Most importantly warm, Canadian clothes are stored in Vancouver for our return; couldn't part with good parka's, rain gear, fleeces, three different ratings of underwear for each of us, and the all important Canadian headgear the humble toque.

I said goodbye to my employer, as continuing back in my old job would be for certain a lability.

But when we return, look out; I'll build my ideal Delica then.

How was the return for you?

Regards,
Kevin - see you all on the otherside

Congratulations Kev, the heat is definitely the place to heal; in Thailand, doubly so. Be glad you are leaving the cold behind, I'm already feeling the disgusting damp I was happy to abandon when I left.

The return for me was a refreshing new beginning, I literally had nothing, because I'd sold it all, partly to fund the trip, and also to initiate a fresh start. That 'start' was a bit rocky, but it's paid off as I haven't fallen into the lull I'd escaped by leaving.

Thailand is quite the adventure and I wish you guys all the best in it, have fun, take some pics and get better Kev 8-) ,

keep it real man,

-Kelly.

PS. I'm probably going to need some of that high test underwear soon.
