Ahhh... okay. I will try your suggestion on the 3/8 lines. The ones I have are considerably thicker than the stock lines and don't spread open as easily. I was in a hurry to get back running so my wife could have my little red truck until she is able to replace the one she just lost after being laid off (merry Xmas and happy birthday to her). I will get back under there and replace that line a little later - fairly easy task.

I am still wondering how to fix the valve at the bottom of the fuel filter. My temporary fix works like a charm and the starter barely turned over once before it fired this morning.

About your old tank?.... hmmmm.... Glen didn't mention that but the tank was warm and wrapped in news paper tht smelled like fish and chips....

Well the airports are open in Thailand now, but sounds like you have it taken care of.

A q-tip dipped in canola works like a charm for fitting hoses on too - if not you'll need the 'hot oil treatment'.

When you have time take that o-ring (from the plastic water drain) into an auto parts store for a replacement; remember a similar issue with an o-ring that couldn't/wouldn't seat properly well retightening.
