Looks like the Chamonix's come in different flavours then :-D

Both of my Chamonix's have hot/cold boxes and the full winter package.

I haven't seen any Chamonix that was different than mine yet (no hot/cold box/winter package,etc..)

Pick one you like and stick with it :M

i got a "mint" chamonix (it aint mint no more 8-) )
no hot/cold box, 8 seats.
my father in law got a jasper. the differences seem mainly in trim and color. the rear bumper is single row chrome on the jasper and double on the chamonix.

if i were to choose betweenone or the other, id get the one that is the best deal. theyre so alike you'd surely be satisfied with either

If by cooler, you mean less awesome, then I would be inclined to agree with you. Your Chamonix doesn't have the tag "specially designed for all season outdoor player" plastered on either side of it. Which clearly means that more effort was put into it and hence making it more bestest out of the whole lot. Plus, isn't Chamonix a french place? Don't the french always lose when it comes to competitions that matter, like wars?

:-D

OR, you can get an OFFROADEXPRESS like mine...Hot/Cold Box, LSD, Dual Batteries, Crystal Lite Super Exceed, All chrome accents...we'll just call it the works.

If you want the sickest, most unroostable ride...go with the OFFROADEXPRESS.

Rarely seen or heard of, but it's sweet.

I got mine from Mardy in September.

offroadexpress is an off road magazine or something like that in Japan. It is on many japanese 4x4s, i've seen it on lots of JDMs around here.

Well, I have to toss a couple of cents into this one - I say less is more - For the real deal go GLX, base model. No hot / cold box, no LSD, just one battery, plain and simple carpets, no moon or sun roofs nor crystal lights, no decals nor fog lamps, no reverse nor 100km beepers, not even auto hubs, just perma lockers and plain steel rims. Stripped of all gilt and flash you're left with the concentrated essence of what really makes delicas cool 8-)

actually, i kinda agree with that. when i first considered a delica, i hoped to find a plain jane panel van/ work van type of thing. like ive always had. but i soon found out that those vans arent popular in japan and they rarely are found at auction.
so i settled for a sweet and shiny chamonix :-D in my defense: i traded out all the chrome for black 8-)
