I see in Lordco they have 100W H3's. Would I be able to drop those in to my lowbeams or is the wiring/fusing going to cause a problem?

The 100W's in your low beam is illegal. Don't put them in there. You'll make people coming at you very upset

Sylvania Silverstar H1 and H3 used. The reviews were pretty good except for the longevity. $26.00 per pair at Parts Source. Knowing what I know now, I may have went with PIAA's. The old saying "you get what you pay for" comes to mind. On a "bright" note, the install process is quite painless. The most important thing to remember is on the Depo lights, you must remember to install the two front screw plugs from the old pair. Doh!!
Oh and who ever invented the adjustment set-up must have forgot to take his/her medication that day. (Just saying what everybody already knows)

DRL 5w bulb? (plastic reads "W5W")

it is NOT for DRL, it is what they call in europe "city light", I'm not sure what purpose it could possibly have, but unless it is night time you can barely tell it's there.

I believe the "City Light" is for when it is night time but you are driving in the city and the road is already lit up by the street lights. As the streets are already lit up your head lamps don't really do anything apart from shine in the oncoming driver's eyes, making it just a little more difficult for him/her to concentrate on the road. I'll bet Fexlboi or Missy could answer this better than I ~ but I do know that it was quite often in England (during the 80's) to drive with just the running lights (the coloured ones) on, in a lit city scenario. Shining lights into people's eyes is very distracting, often causing mistakes which is why the authorities practice this in interrogations.
