Hey thanks for your offer, I'll be sure to pass it on. The trip is in early April. I'm not co-ordinating the trip but I do know Parks have a limit on the number of people staying at the cave per night. I'm sure the divers would appreciate any extra sherpas but I'm not sure how/where to accommodate you. I have never skied up there, so I don't know what other camping areas are designated. If you are super keen I can put you onto the Parks liaison for the trip.

I'll be up for some skiing, a couple of friends and I try and head out 2 or more times a week, generally midweek. Will send you a msg next time.

Cheers

Great to hear it all went well. Sorry about the mix up with the Castleguard books, in the end we sorted it and got them to Chas, and hopefully all your team members received one, including yourself.

Yep, it's an excellent book. Thanks for going out of your way to organise it.

Thanks for the shots, the previous link did not work for me either.

Shot #6 has me puzzled. That seems to be right on the edge of the runout zone for the avalanche path that runs 350 meters further into the clearing and touches the trees on the other side. Not a good place to be stopping and bunched up (especially this season), but your guide probably knew what he was doing and maybe it's just a trick of the camera angle.

Shot #37. Isn't that backdoor entrance blocked?

Looks like you had a neat campsite and awesome weather, what a great opportunity. Doesn't look like the snow bridges have started to sag yet. Did you have to rope up on the glacier?

np, we are close to that av slope still standing in the treeline. I did notice some sloughing on the way out, which wasn't reassuring.

I took the tag off 37, so nobody gets the wrong idea. It certainly is blocked up with reo bar and all kinds of stuff.
