The Northern Interior is a very cool place, if there were more time I would recommend going straight to Smithers bit it's a ways for sure. Williams Lake, 100 Mile House, Lone Butte area is pretty cool and not too far away, plus all West Coasters could take the road through Pemberton, Lillooet which is super fun.
Plus there's kick-ass mountain biking in Williams Lake...

I would welcome you all anytime... I am in Smithers, and you are right to recommend it here... I love it. I am glad you like the idea of an northern interior meet... like you say, there is lots of great stuff to do here.
