i want to have a minibus, much better (and cooler:) than a jeep. I want to put a complete bed at the back and a small kitchen, without a rooftop-tent. I want a 'camouflaged' vehicle, not a fully equipped and easily spotted beast

(anyway, in the european union its quite difficult (=impossible) the renew the licence of old toyota landcruisers, so I had to buy a land rover, but thats definitely too expensive for me)

and after the trip (maybe with a new engine) I would like to use it in Europe with my (coming (not yet)) children:D

so I need a 4wd minivan. I compared toyota and mitsubishi, and the delica is the winner. I think u agree.

about spareparts:
I had an L300 (2wd) previously, and I drove it down to Mali through Morocc, Mauritania and Senegal. I only had to change my air filter and the front brake-shoes, but as far as I saw, every 5th to 10th minivan were mitsubishis. (8 of 10 were toyotas)

both in Senegal and Mali I saw a mitsubishi garage packed with used and new spare parts, so I think it's not that difficult to get something.

and I will take one spare from every smaller part (like: generator, brake shoes, cables, cluch(?) and so on)


or do you think a delica in good general condition won't survive 100k kilometers in 2 years?
and what should I check in a Delica before buying anything?

Definitely.

If they are common, I would have either a volkswagen diesel or mitsubishi mechanic go over it with you.
