ok, so here's my stickers and thanks to some helpful, friendly folks on the revscene.net forums I've got some translation to share:

Side of the gear shift console

2H - normal driving
4H - poor conditions, snow covered road driving
4L - When you need a lot of towing or pulling force.

* 4H<->4L shifts must be done when the car is at a complete stop
* Cars with free wheel hubs please read the user's manual prior to operation of transfer case.


Gear shift console

Shift lock

something about select lever and brake pedal.

I think it's trying to say something about stepping on the brake pedal before you do anything etc and make sure the select lever is in P before you try any changes.

Gear shift console

A/T Temp lamp is lit when the A/T fluid temperature is too high. Stop the vehicle and let
engine idle in "P" when the light is on, wait until the light is off before you continue
driving.


Coolant resevoir:

Coolant should be between FULL and LOW when cold. Fill when necessary.

Specified coolant must be used and diluted to 30-50% concentration before use.


Spare tire:

care when using spare tire

When you use this spare tire do NOT use the parts on the right.

Tire size : 215SR15

Near rear climate controls:

Caution with flattened seat:
It is dangerous to sit on a flattened seat because of emergency braking and such
do not ride car with seat flat.


<Caution when operating rotating seat>
1) do not use seat in positions other than those locking positions
2) do not slide seat fore and aft or rotate when vehicle is in motion
3) when sliding seat to the back, make sure than the last row passenger is not in the way.
4) when seat slider fails to lock, check the rail for alien objects. Have the dealer check the mechanism for you.


Engine part:

Caution when changing this part
1. wet all gaskets with diesel oil
2. torque the filter with your hand firmly
3. After bleeding and starting the engine, check for leaks before operation of vehicle.
* For more information please check the package of the new part.

Very nice, I would like to stick that info in the FAQ section. If that can save one person from trying to Jam the lever into 4low at speed, it's worth it's weight in Gold.

That reminds me, isn't it 'against the law' for beginner drivers, ether "L" or "N", to drive a right hand drive vehicle. Mote question for me, we'll believe it is around our house.

none, and I'd like to keep it that way for the moment!
learning on the right side or the left side though wouldn't make any difference... what MIGHT confuse someone learning was if they were switching back and forth, but even that's probably not much different than switching between a small car and an SUV.

If you don't want your kids driving the Delica though that's a different matter, and in that case just tell them that there is such a law ;)

I think that is what Kev is trying to say (correct me if I am wrong Kev). that would protect him from the looming question of "dad, can I use the van?" it would make for a simple answer... "sorry its a RHD"... and therefore keeping his precious vehicle from their teenage rambunctious driving. I know I was far from being a cautious driver when I first got my license (of course that was before L's or N's and when I had copious amounts of luck on my side!)

Yes, it would be very good to have in the FAQ section. If you let me post it I'll update it when I get the last bit translated, but have at 'er if you'd like to do it your self...

for some reason people are always reluctant to drive my van for the first time. But I just have to share the love so I throw the keys at them and tell them if we have to get somewhere i'm not driving. Its so simple I really feel like it makes no difference what side you're on.

Then there are people who ask to drive it that I don't know or don't trust.... I tell them I have a special endorsement on my license.
