Good Day. Might be nice, been unseasonal warm the last two weeks in the high 30's even hitting 40 last week mid day , but it has cooled this morning some. That 24c weather for my morning bicycle ride felt down right chilly.

Green1's cowtown has nice perceived weather do to it's low humidity; temperatures can look uncomfortable on the weather channel but amazingly if it's sunny and dry it feels great - above minus 10-15 that is. 14 and sunny in Calgary is t-shirt weather, but 10c and raining in Victoria when you have to work outside all day - yuck. Had to mention that cause as a Island boy was surprised how much I enjoyed Calgary weather.

Calgary weather is generally not "bad" but it is highly variable, in the winter we can have -20c and +10c on adjacent days (and in fact sometimes a few hours appart!) I can't say I like -20 to -40 weather, but on the bright side, it never lasts more than a week or 2 before we have another "chinook" (chinooks are when we get warm weather in the middle of winter, has to do with airflow over the nearby rocky mountains)
And the summers here are much more comfortable than they are in a lot of other places, we hover around 20-25 most of the summer, and with very low humidity, we usually get a week or 2 of +30 to +35, but not enough for most people to bother with an air conditioner, and even when it hits those temperatures during the day, it's usually only around 15 - 20 at night so you can let the house cool off.

The closer I get to Christmas the more I miss a bit of the white stuff. Spending all year in summer actually gets a bit old. All the permanent extranjero's in town get a kick out of being able to where pants and maybe even a jacket at night. I may fly back to
Muskoka for winter carnival this year to get back to my roots for a week or two (that would probably be enough). Four Seasons
(five if you count bug season in my home town) isn't all bad.

I once got out of an air conditioned cab in Kuwait in front of the Crowne Plaza... within 10 seconds I was sweating like heck... 55 Celsius... The messed-up thing: as opposed to "normal places" where a wet shirt due to sweat would feel cold and uncomfortable on your back you don't really feel the sweating even if your shirt sticks to your skin as it is all so hot (Its like jumping into a warm swimming pool with a T-shirt on... doesn't feel cold until you get out and the wet shirt starts feeling cold... but not in Kuwait at 55 C...)
